How to use

Prepare the form on optikoku.com, scan it with your phone, and review the results in minutes.

  1. Step 1: Prepare the form

On optikoku.com, choose the number of questions, the options and the number of digits in the school number, then print the form. If a sheet has several forms, cut them apart before scanning.

  2. Step 2: Create the test

Enter the number of questions and options. Mark the answer key by hand or scan it from a filled-in form. If you choose a class, the school number is matched to the student's name.

  3. Step 3: Scan

Hold the phone upright so the whole form and its four corner squares are visible. The form is read even if it is sideways or upside down. Before saving, you can correct a wrongly read answer or number.

  4. Step 4: Review the results

Scores are calculated instantly. Group tests into folders by class, and share student and exam analysis as Excel or PDF.

Detailed help

Preparing the answer sheetCreate and print the form on optikoku.com
  1. 1Open the answer sheet page on optikoku.com.
  2. 2Choose the number of questions (up to 30), the number of options (2–5) and the number of digits in the school number.
  3. 3Print the form. If you put several forms on one sheet, separate them along the cutting lines.

The black squares in the four corners are required for scanning; do not cut them off or write over them.

Coding the school numberThe number is both written and marked in the bubbles
  1. 1Write the number in the box and fill in the digit under each column.
  2. 2If the number is shorter than the number of digits, you can leave the leading or trailing digits empty or fill them with 0: "00321", " 321" and "321 " are all saved as 321.
  3. 3Do not leave an empty digit in the middle; an unreadable digit is shown as "?" and you will be asked to correct it.
Classes and student listsImport from Excel, CSV or an e-Okul list
  1. 1On the home screen, tap 👥 Classes → "New class" (e.g. 8-A).
  2. 2Use "Import from file" to choose an Excel (.xlsx/.xls), CSV or e-Okul list. The columns are recognised from the headers "School No" and "Full Name" (or "First Name" + "Last Name").
  3. 3You can get a ready-made template from the document icon at the top right of the Classes screen.
  4. 4Tap the table headers to sort by order, number or name; tap a student to edit.
